COJO ART SPACE
"MARKING THE RIDGEWOOD LINE"
SATURDAY MARCH 10, 2012 (6-10 PM)
The focus of this show is brought to light by the nearly 30 artists who work with line, or with a lens capturing the hidden underdrawings in our everyday world.
Both emerging, as well as extremely established artists will be represented. Stepping forward, out of the shadows of Brooklyn this show is like non other Ridgewood nor Bushwick has yet had to offer.
Line art on view in this show has been rendered in myriad mediums: Pen & ink, acrylic on canvas, pencil on paper, wood block etching, oil, silk screen, quill, rapidograph, water color, paint pen, paint on wood, and photography.
The subjects depicted and styles presented have great range as well: Cartoonish, realistic, portraiture, abstract, illustrative, gonzo, retro, historical, topographical, and conceptual (to name a few).
Everything from original Beavis & Butthead comic book page work, to pen and ink drawings of Donald Duck being crucified. Most of the work is for sale, and at cash and carry prices (we will also have a credit card machine for larger works).
CONFIRMED PAINTERS / LINE ARTISTS:

"THIS SHOW IS WHAT RIDGEWOOD IS ALL ABOUT. IF THERE IS A MILE MARKER FOR THE DAY THE GROUNDWORK FOR THE REAL RIDGEWOOD ART SCENE WAS ESTABLISHED, THIS SHOW MARKED THE LINE.
YOU'LL LEAVE SAYING: 'TOTO, WE AREN'T IN BUSHWICK ANYMORE.'"
